01 / The specimen journey
Track specimen collection, receipt, and rejection.
Collection, receipt, and rejection are recorded as distinct specimen actions. Barcodes and identifiers connect the tube to the request. If a specimen cannot be accepted, the rejection workflow records the reason instead of leaving the order looking as though the sample is still on its way.
- Collection and specimen receipt
- Barcode and specimen identification
- Rejection with recorded reasons
02 / Result entry and review
Review and verify entered results.
Results are entered and verified through separate actions. Numeric results can use configured reference ranges and delta checks against earlier verified values. Critical results have a follow-up workflow, so a flagged value is connected to the work of notifying and acknowledging it.
- Result entry and verification
- Reference ranges and configured delta checks
- Critical-value notification and follow-up
03 / Reports and amendments
Know which report was signed and released.
Prepare the report from the order, complete the signing and release stages, and retain an amendment workflow for corrections. PDF generation and delivery are part of the reporting flow. Patient report delivery can use email or WhatsApp, with consent checks and the organisation’s messaging configuration.
- Report signing, release, and amendments
- PDF report generation
- Consent-aware report delivery
04 / Quality alongside the work
Record quality checks and follow-up actions.
The lab includes internal quality-control records and Levey–Jennings charts, alongside external quality assessment and quality-management workflows. Teams can record audits, complaints, incidents, corrective actions, and management reviews in the same departmental workspace.
- Internal QC and external quality assessment
- Audits, incidents, complaints, and corrective actions
- Quality indicators and management reviews
