RAKT / RADIOLOGY

Manage studies
and radiology reports.

Connect appointments, study requests, acquisition, reporting, and critical findings. Keep the reporting workflow close to the patient, the referring team, and the department’s worklist.

CLINICAL HISTORY

History supplied with the request appears here.

TECHNIQUE

Acquisition technique and study details are documented with the report.

01

Schedule

Book the appointment and create the study request.

02

Acquire

Record pre-study checks and mark acquisition against the order.

03

Report

Draft or save a preliminary report, then complete sign-off.

04

Deliver

Generate the report document and follow the configured delivery workflow.

01 / Appointments and worklists

See the request before it reaches reporting.

Manage appointments with scheduled, completed, cancelled, and no-show states. Study orders give the department a worklist organised around the patient, priority, and stage of work. Assign the radiologist and retain the referring context alongside the request.

  • Appointments and no-show records
  • Study catalog and order worklist
  • Radiologist assignment

02 / Acquisition and attachments

Keep the study’s supporting information together.

Record pre-study checks, the acquisition stage, and supporting attachments against the study order. The reporting team can then work from the same request rather than trying to match files back to an unrelated patient reference.

  • Pre-study checks
  • Acquisition recording
  • Order-linked attachments

03 / Reporting and versions

Prepare, sign, and retain report versions.

Prepare report drafts or preliminary reports, then sign the completed report. Report-version records support reviewing changes across versions. Signed reports can be rendered to PDF and delivered through the configured patient communication channels.

  • Draft and preliminary reports
  • Sign-off and report versions
  • PDF and patient delivery workflows

04 / Critical findings

Record critical findings and acknowledgements.

Flag a critical finding, record the notification, and capture acknowledgement. Overdue escalation can be configured for the department. The record keeps the finding and communication steps together instead of relying on the report’s presence alone to indicate that somebody has seen it.

  • Critical-finding records
  • Notification and acknowledgement
  • Configured overdue escalation

BEYOND THIS DEPARTMENT

How this department
works with the others.

Radiology requests can connect to clinical visits and inpatient encounters. Reporting remains a radiology workflow, while the referring team and patient account retain the study’s context. Review any existing image archive or PACS integration requirements separately during discovery.

A CLOSER LOOK

Practical
questions.

Is this a replacement for our PACS or diagnostic image viewer?

The current radiology module focuses on orders, acquisition records, attachments, and reporting. It does not provide a full PACS or embedded diagnostic DICOM viewer. Discuss your existing imaging setup with us when planning integration.

Can we keep a preliminary report before final signing?

Yes. The reporting workflow includes drafts, preliminary reports, final signing, and report-version records.

Can a critical finding be acknowledged?

Yes. Critical findings have notification and acknowledgement actions, with overdue escalation controlled by departmental settings.
